What is a balcony bra?

A balcony bra is a low, horizontally cut bra that's designed to lift your cleavage by pushing your breasts upwards and towards the centre of your chest. Balconettes typically have an underwire and padded or moulded cups for extra support. They also have wider-set straps than other types of bras, which makes them easy to combine with tops and dresses with a wider neckline.

How should a balcony bra fit?

A balcony bra should fit snugly around the ribcage, with the band lying flat against the skin and not riding up. The cups should encase the breasts without them bulging or spilling over the top.
